Some Features of 2.0mm Duplex Zip-cord Fiber Optic Cable, OM1 62.5/125 multimode, Corning InfiniCor 300, Orange Riser-Rated Jacket, Spool, 1000 feet
Our OM1 (Multimode) duplex zip-cord fiber optic cable consists of two tightly buffered optical fibers, aramid yarn, and a riser-rated PVC outer jacket. The materials used comply with RoHS and REACH standards and meet UL riser ratings, including UL 1666 and UL 1685 (FT4). This specific cable is a 1000-foot spool of zipcord fiber optic cable intended for large installations where terminations are required. It features a multimode fiber with a 62.5-micron core designed for transmitting data over shorter distances in legacy networks. Multimode fiber optimally operates with fiber optic equipment using light wavelengths of 850 nm (nanometers) and 1300 nm (nanometers). The duplex design allows synchronous communication between devices, and the cladding diameter measures 125 microns. The core and cladding of our fiber optic cable are made with Corning InfiniCor 300, known for its industry-first laser-optimized 62.5 nm multimode fiber, which offers greater distance for data rates up to 1 Gbps while still offering full compatibility with legacy protocols and applications. ImnfiniCor 300 meets or exceeds the standards specified in ISO/IEC 11801 type OM1 fiber, IEC 60793-2-10 type A1b fiber, and TIA/EIA 492AAAA-A. Zip-cord is a generic term that indicates two individually jacketed conductors whose jackets are bonded together. Choose 2mm for high-density installations, space-constrained environments, or when flexibility and cost are primary concerns.Write a review
